Leroy Merlin signs the Tuscany development deal

On 17 December, Sole 24 Ore’s T24 Toscana published news on the expansion plans for the French retailer in the region. This is in brief the memorandum of understanding approved by the Regional Council and later ratified by the Region.
120 million in investments to begin over the next three years that will involve the municipalities of Lucca, Massa and Pistoia. For the Municipality of Campi it is basically a move to a larger area, for other municipalities it means new stores of between 5,000 and 8,000 sq m. The document also makes reference to expanding the store in Livorno, building a new 12,000 sq m store in Scandicci and a show room in Florence.
The memorandum also addresses the hiring and involvement of a local businesses, namely the small enterprises in the area.
