Mercatone Uno and Brico io?

In view of the latest articles read, about the revival of Mercato Uno, (including Corriere della Sera of November 15 last year) – we remember purchased from the Maltese Shernon Holdin srl and of which we have already written – or a prospect of doubling the turnover to 550 million euro in 2022, thanks to the “transformation of the stores in the experience store and the enhancement of e-commerce”, I decided to make a jump to the nearest point of sale, that of Pavia.

Inside the store, it must be said that, the area dedicated to the furnishing exhibition was in order, while much more than “work in progress” that dedicated to commodity products from linear, including DIY. All in all, in short, considering the physiological times of the change of ownership and, therefore, of travel.

I found the surprise (and listened to by radio in the store) in reading the current competition, which sees the presence of Brico io as a partner. Specifically, the DIY brand participates by giving away 50 screwers with a Brikstein brand case and 200 vouchers worth 40 euros.

Is this the beginning of a new collaboration between the CEO company Valdero Rigoni and the brico banner of the AD Danilo Villa? Or simply a commercial operation concluded on the basis of opportunities and mutual knowledge?

In the first case it would be a possibility that, in my view, could prove right and profitable for both: expand the turnover for Brico io and entrust a complex and articulated merchandise to a specialist, taking away the thought, for Mercatone One who has the challenging task of raising a difficult situation.
