FITT’s American dream, which began in 2017, is being transformed into a full-fledged industrial plan that will lead to the construction of a manufacturing plant in Anderson, Indiana. <\/h2>\n\n
The steady double-digit growth in sales <\/strong>could no longer be sustained by production in Italy, and the on-site plant will in fact reduce the environmental impact due to transportation<\/strong> of goods and provide better service to customers.<\/p>\n\n
And under the aegis of the company’s two founding values, innovation and sustainability<\/strong>, FITT<\/a> has chosen to regenerate a so-called “brownfield” of 120,000sqm<\/strong>, a disused industrial site<\/strong>, formerly General Motors, enhancing its characteristics and geographical location through major redevelopment and without further land consumption. <\/p>\n\n
“The ‘landing’ in the U.S. for FITT is the result of a long-term strategic vision. – says Alessandro Mezzalira, CEO of FITT Group <\/strong>– We started in 2017 studying the market and its dynamics, end-user needs, competitors and potential, building this project on a solid foundation. We soon realized that the U.S. market has very peculiar dimensions and characteristics, requiring a territory presidium that the current trading company cannot have. A production center overseas would allow us to guarantee the customer service that FITT has been able to offer European partners for more than 50 years.” <\/p>\n\n
On October 18, in the presence of the Mayor of Anderson and a number of representatives of the local government and the State of Indiana<\/strong>, the Ground Breaking ceremony was held to kick off construction of the facility. Construction is scheduled to end in September 2024<\/strong> and production to begin in October 2024. The investment is about US$30 million<\/strong> and, when fully operational, will see 6 production lines and about 100 employees<\/strong> by 2028. <\/p>\n\n
FITT’s entry into the U.S. dates back to 2020<\/strong> and the commercial success of its proposals for the garden world is due to the fact that the U.S. market has been increasingly receptive to innovative home irrigation solutions that, for the same performance, can combine concrete instances of sustainability.<\/p>\n\n
ONE concrete example is FITT Force<\/strong>, which, in the version specifically designed for the U.S. market (with high-performance aluminum fittings), soon became the top product at overseas distributors, driving market share gains. <\/p>\n\n
In fact, FITT Force<\/a> is distributed in major DYI chains in the country, such as The Home Depot<\/strong>, Walmart<\/strong>, Ace<\/strong>, Do It Best<\/strong>, Target<\/strong>, and also in the Group’s Amazon US <\/strong>digital channel.<\/p>\n\n
